7/29-8/1 Honeymoon Part Two: Disneyland

Asa and Amy on the Jungle Cruise

Asa and Amy on the Jungle Cruise

At the end of our Mexico honeymoon adventure we were relaxed and excited to get going to California. Amy was so excited to get to Disneyland and to see their friends and family that she made John wake up at the crack of dawn (5AM), so that they would be the first people to arrive at the airport to put their names on the standby list for the first flight leaving Cabo San Lucas to LAX. Guess what?! It worked we arrived 4 hours early and were so excited to be back on state side.

We met Amy’s Mom and Step-Dad John immediately at the Disneyland Hotel check in counter, we packed up to our rooms after a slight adventure trying to find the correct tower and fell in love the amazing suite, the views, the rooms and the excitement set in. The Disneyland Hotel was more than perfect! All the little details were appreciated and enjoyed by everyone.

We had a couple hours to wait before Todd and Danelle flew in and we were starving-marvins! Mom and John took us to the bar at the Brier Rose in the Grand Californian and we had a wonderful appetizer and drink! On our way there we ran into Matt and Janelle eating burritos in Downtown Disney! Mean while Toddly and Danella had landed and were headed out to the hotel! After a much anticipated arrival we finally met up with them outside the lobby and had a complete melt down of excitement, we ushered them up to the amazing rooms and then headed straight out for dinner. Mexican Food and pitcher margaritas! Yummy

Special time with Jace!

The next day was our first and most furious day of Disney adventure. Asa and Tobias drove in from their relative’s home in the OC making our group (Todd, Danelle, Kris, John, Matt, Janelle, Asa, Tobias, Amy and John) Phew! What a crew! Anyone who did not possess a lanyard for pins was forced to buy one (Asa and Tobias) and the games began! We literally ran all over the entire park. We experienced an earthquake (just after finishing lunch) that shut all the rides down for a while but we still had an amazing day which ended with the Electrical Parade at California Adventure and a few more rides at Disneyland. The evening also brought the arrival of Jesse, Stephanie and Jace!

What a fun group!
